Epsilon Eta Omega was chartered on December 13, 1970. We are located in Pomona Valley Area, east end of Los Angeles County. Our membership is comprised of 35 college trained business and professional women who work together in the spirit of sisterhood and service to make the Pomona Valley community a better place.

Following the influx of African Americans to Pomona from Los Angeles and the South, was the Inception of Epsilon Eta Omega Chapter. The esteemed history began with a conversation between local AKA members in the area in the early 1970. The members quickly investigated their idea of creating the chapter in the Pomona Valley Area. On December 13, 1970 under the leadership of Winifred Cash Rhodes, Far Western Regional Director and Mattelia Grays, International President at Griswald’s Hotel in Claremont, Epsilon Eta omega was established with the installation of seventeen members.

The first officers of the Chapter were:

Epsilon Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated works side by side with their members, neighboring chapters, and the community. The chapter continues to root itself as a sisterhood of support, a sisterhood of increased scholarship contributions, and a sisterhood of service to all mankind.
